pregunta 1

Sergeant Lucía Ferrer works at a small rural post near the village of Valdeloma. Her day usually begins at seven, when she checks the reports from the night shift and plans the patrols.

On Tuesday morning, a farmer called to say that some of his sheep had escaped onto the main road. Lucía and her partner drove there quickly, stopped the traffic and helped the farmer guide the animals back into the field. Nobody was hurt, but the farmer promised to repair his fence that same afternoon.

In the evening, Lucía visited the primary school to give a short talk about road safety. The children asked many questions, especially about the patrol car. 'The best part of this job,' she says, 'is that no two days are the same.'
